Truth be told, we shouldn’t even know each other —various ages, sexes, ethinicities, and nationalities. We’re like a small United Nations. So how did we get here? Someone threw a rock the size of an up and coming musician into the water and created waves large enough to gather people far and wide.
The mission was singular—make clothes. The execution required hands—lots of them. Urban streetwear adorned with fabrics and notions found in West Africa, should have been an easy thing to create. However, we’re in Canada —things went sideways. Turns out that harsh winters blow through kente cloth like mesh. So we expanded.
Finding the right mix of styles, fabrics, insulators and, of course, people was the answer to creating Twentys Clothing. Ten years later, we’re still learning, still growing, and thankfully still mixing.

Tolani Alvin Osungade, better known as Sojiii, is a true embodiment of the African spirit. Born and raised in Jos, Nigeria, Sojiii was surrounded by the rich cultural heritage and musical traditions of his homeland. However, his life took a dramatic turn when he immigrated to Toronto, Canada. Despite the cultural differences and harsh realities of life as a newcomer, Sojiii refused to let go of his passion for music.
Sojiii’s journey from Nigeria to Canada was a test of his perseverance and determination. Despite the challenges, he continued to hone his musical skills, drawing inspiration from the cultural mashup that was his new home. As he developed his sound, he became a sought-after singer, songwriter, and producer, with a growing fanbase both in Africa and abroad. His music, which blends AfroBeats, Afrosoul, Afropop, Dancehall, Reggae, RNB, and Hiphop, has earned him a reputation as a rising star in the industry.
Despite his success, Sojiii has never forgotten his roots. Through Twentys Clothing, he is giving back to the Nigerian community and promoting African culture with his designs. He is an inspiration to many, showing that with hard work, dedication, and a commitment to one’s passions, anything is possible. Sojiii’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of music and a reminder that where you come from does not determine where you can go.
